Federation of  Gujarat Malayalee Associations (FEGMA) was established on 27th July, 1997, in a meeting held at Vasvik Hall, Race Course, Baroda under the proficient leadership of Baroda Kerala Samajam jointly with Gandhinagar Malayalee Samajam. FEGMA is registered with office of Charirty Commissioner, Baroda and its registration No. A/2990/Vadodara and NORKA registration No. GJ/06/109.  Smt. Vilasini Ramachandran, IAS,  the then Commissioner of Baroda Municipal Corporation inaugurated the formation function. Formation Committee Convener and the then Treasurer of Baroda Kerala Samajam Dr.Sivasankaran M. Nair presented the “Karadu Reka” for formation of FEGMA.

Mr. A.P. Simon, the then President of Gandhinagar Malayalee Samajam was elected as first  President of FEGMA and  Shri Sreekumar M the then General Secretary Baroda Kerala Samajam was elected as first General Secretary  of FEGMA.
